DRT Show: The Philippines Gears Up for the Biggest Diving Resort Travel Expo

The Philippines is gearing up to welcome international divers, marine scientists, and travel enthusiasts as it hosts the Diving Resort Travel Expo Philippines 2015.  The DRT Show, which aims to promote trading, export business, and environment conservation, will be held at the SM Megatrade Hall in Mandaluyong City, on September 11 - 13, 2015.

Spearheaded by the Philippine Department of Tourism (PDOT), co-organized with the Hong Kong and Shanghai-based LX Development Group Ltd. (LXDG), this three-day exposition will gather diving industry stakeholders, particularly coming from the Asia and Oceana regions.

"Our archipelago's more than 7,107 tropical islands are known in the world as a dive haven, offering truly diverse and meaningful dive travel experiences all year round," PDOT Secretary Ramon Jimenez, Jr. said.

He added that the DRT Show would be an important venue to underscore the importance of responsible, ethical and sustainable diving tourism, as well as the global significance of conserving the country's biodiversity.

"The abundance, distribution, and degree of threat to which these resources are exposed, call for a rapid and effective response to accelerate the coverage of conservation efforts in the country," he said.

At the  much-awaited DRT Show, visitors will indulge in the widest array of dive promos, resort discounts, and the latest in dive gear and underwater photography equipment. The daily activities include:
